Annual Meeting Held in New Delhi has Nearly 50 Clients Attend

Ally Law’s first AGM in New Delhi, India concluded today boasting more than 150 attendees, including: 80 delegates, 25 guests, 45 corporate executives and 51 member firms in attendance. Members strengthened their relationships with fellow members, forged new client connections, and shared best practices to improve marketing, business development, service delivery and firm management through  18 substantive sessions and 12 social events.

The regional business meeting was held on March 9, where members of Ally Law’s leadership team discussed a range of topics focused on Ally Law operations, including strategic projects, 2020 budget and dues, the organization’s strong financial status, introductions of new member and observer firms and new, the 30th anniversary of Ally Law, and new marketing resources. Members elected Björn Welinder as Ally Law’s 2019-2021 president. Ally also had multiple member sessions to discuss synergies among firms related to leadership, cross border M&A, and cybercrime.

A Client Program followed with a series of breakout sessions featuring member and client panelists and invited guests from leading businesses and research and educational institutions. Speakers addressed topics specific to India including  business, sports, digitization, and governance transformation.  A series of client panels followed discussing corporate compliance, data protection, artificial intelligence, and cross-border disputes. The meeting concluded with a keynote from retired Supreme Court Justice B.N. Srikrishna, known as India’s go-to jurist for critical rule-of-law issues in India.

On March 10, members shared knowledge with other members through a series of panels on topics such as law firm management, women’s networking, succession planning for HNW individuals, law firm expansion and collaborative technology.
