2019 EMEA Regional Meeting Features Malta Business Program

More than 60 Ally Law delegates, clients and other guests participated in a rich banquet of forward-thinking panels and presentations, exceptional dining and social activities, and opportunities to learn more about the history, economy and culture of this exceptional island nation.

The meeting kicked off with a day-long series of presentations and discussions offering a deep dive into the initiatives, agencies, and technological, business and legal frameworks that have helped position Malta as a leading global player in the 21st-century economy. Topics included Malta residency, capital markets and a primer on local cryptocurrency, tax and business structures, blockchain businesses, succession planning and gaming and esports.

The regional business meeting was held on November 15, where members of Ally Law’s leadership team discussed strategic projects, 2020 plans and dues,  new members, policy updates and effective referral processes.

A client program followed with a series of breakout sessions featuring member and client panelists and invited guests from leading businesses and research and educational institutions. Topics included: cannabis regulation, tax residency, fintech, Brexit and artificial intelligence.
