Evans & Dixon, LLC offers comprehensive legal coverage in business law, civil litigation, and workers’ compensation defense.
Our firm is widely recognized by the nation’s insurance industry and business community for our passionate commitment to assisting clients in achieving their objectives. Our diverse and experienced attorneys excel in developing customized, cost-effective legal solutions for each client.
Established in 1945 and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Evans & Dixon operates offices in Kansas City, Columbia, Springfield, Overland Park, Chicago and Omaha. We represent numerous Fortune 500 companies in the Midwest, including 80 percent of the top Fortune 500 companies in Missouri. Our Business Law group supports clients nationwide and assists entities both large and small. We also advise national and international clients of Ally Law member firms.
Historically, our practice has been focused on insurance defense. With a merger in 2008, we expanded to include subrogation and collections. Growing along with our clients, we added our business law practice group in 2010. In recent years, we have added a large-loss subrogation practice and creditor’s rights practice to round out our business law offerings.

Evans & Dixon has grown to become one of the largest firms in the Midwest, yet we maintain the feel of the small firm created by John Evans and John Dixon. Our staff, research capabilities and technology resources mirror those of a large firm, yet we remain steadfast in offering the personalized attention and dedication each client deserves.
Most employers that pay their outside sales representatives on a commission basis do so because of long-established practices, rather than a sound understanding as to how the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA” or “Act”) impacts such a compensation practice.
