For the first time in almost 40 years, the US Department of Labor (“DOL”) has finalized comprehensive changes to regulations covering the Davis-Bacon Act (“DBA”) and 70 “DBA Related Acts,” federal wage regulations that apply to contractors and subcontractors working on most federal government construction projects.

Starting on May 28, 2024, the standard settlement date for purchases and sales of registered or freely-trading securities (like stocks and bonds) in the United States (meaning the date of the official transfer of securities to the buyer’s account and the cash to seller’s account) will be reduced from “trading day plus two business days” (or T+2) to “trading day plus one business day” (or T+1).
