In its most recent, second-quarter update for 2022, the firm offered insights into the following:
- An increase in the minimum wage
- New rules for commercial cash loans
- Corporate tax exemptions for income gained through foreign exchange-protected Turkish lira deposit accounts
- Amendments to aviation law, including changes affecting ground handling organizations and cabotage rules
- Temporary limits on rental fee increases for housing
- New authorization for notaries to conclude real estate sales contracts
- New methods for acquiring Turkish citizenship
- Publication of guidelines on handling of data “cookies” and warnings for data controllers that have not yet enrolled in the Data Controllers’ Registry
- A newly launched investigation into the company Trendyol by the Turkish Competition Board
- An update to the timeframe in which to initiate administrative lawsuits
