JCAA (Japan Commercial Arbitration Association) is the only International commercial arbitration institution located in Japan with a track record spanning 70 years. The Japan International Dispute Resolution Center (JIDRC), inaugurated in 2018 with the support of the Government of Japan to promote the use of international arbitration and to furnish state-of-the-art hearing facilities at reasonable rates, has now honorably brought its mission to completion.

The Japanese Government is currently working to establish Japan as an international dispute resolution center, much as Singapore and other countries have done in Asia and elsewhere. The Government is taking steps to improve Japan’s attractiveness as a neutral venue for the resolution of transnational disputes through arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
