Holec, Zuska & Partners focuses on complex legal advisory and consulting services for private corporations and public entities. We serve multinational corporations and their local subsidiaries as well as major Czech companies and many ministries, regional authorities and other state and regulatory authorities, municipalities, universities and research institutions.
The firm’s founders are both advocates and licensed arbitrators with the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. The firm maintains a close working relationship with several of the Big Four auditing and tax advisory houses and other professional bodies, which enable it to provide complex advice on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, investment incentives, project consulting and management, including PPP projects, public procurement, legislative work, and other major undertakings.
Holec, Zuska & Partners focus their work on two chief areas:
- The Private Law practice offers a full range of commercial law services, including formation and dissolution of companies, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters, including executive contracts and compensation packages for top management. Our real estate development team has extensive experience in acquisitions and sales of real estate property, whether for private or commercial purposes, and it can determine or develop appropriate financing and investment vehicles, as well as draft relevant contracts and assist with permitting processes for development/construction. In other areas, we help our clients analyze impacts of competition laws on a particular transaction and handle issues about insolvency and restructuring. The firm also has well-established dispute resolution/litigation/arbitration teams. In recent years, we have built a strong intellectual property practice focusing on advisory services and management of intellectual property in the research, development and innovations sectors.
- The Public Law practice has developed a strong profile in public procurement to the business sector and public bodies. Our team assists clients in ensuring compliance with tender conditions, submission of tenders, and other contractual matters, and administering public procurement procedures on behalf of notable public and research institutions. We also have significant experience with public/private partnerships related to domestic infrastructure projects and with entities acting as contractor providers of social services.
