Mexico Hosts 2024 Americas Meeting

On September 11–13 more than 70 Ally Law delegates and guests from member firms across South America, Central America and North America, as well as the Asia Pacific region and Europe, will unite at the luxury InterContinental Presidente in Mexico City, Mexico for our Americas Regional Conference.

Co-hosted by Ally Law’s Mexico member firms, Cornejo Méndez González & Duarte (Mexico City) and Villarreal VGF (Monterrey), the three-day event will include substantive sessions exploring artificial intelligence (AI), renewable energy, nearshoring, judicial reform in Mexico, Chinese investment and expansion in Latin America, and more. In formal panels and informal discussions, speakers and guests will share best practices for dealing with challenging and critical firm management issues and hear how general counsel responds to global and regional trends. Jim Durham, a pioneer in legal marketing and a former practicing lawyer, will discuss strategies that can help law firms gain market share, expand their competitive presence, and increase profit.

In addition to the various sessions and roundtable discussions, delegates and guests will enjoy cocktails and meals at exclusive restaurants that celebrate the area’s cuisine; hear from regional business and economic-development leaders; and enjoy opportunities to tour some of the city’s historic sites, including the National Anthropology Museum and Chapultepec Castle.

The Ally Law Americas Regional Conference immediately precedes the annual International Bar Association meeting, which will also be held in Mexico City in 2024. On Monday, September 16, Ally Law will host a special reception for member firms, clients and other colleagues attending the IBA conference. The reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Cityzen Bar at the Sofitel Hotel.

Ramesh Vaidyanathan, President of Ally Law and a partner in India member firm BTG Advaya, will welcome new Ally Law member-firm delegates and co-host a panel on how to get the most out of network membership. Said Vaidyanathan, “Ally Law continues to expand, adding highly regarded, entrepreneurial firms across the western hemisphere, in addition to markets across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Our upcoming meeting in Mexico City will provide prospective, new and current members an opportunity to strengthen relationships with their Ally Law colleagues.”

In addition to the Americas Regional Conference, Ally Law will be hosting annual conferences for the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions later this year. These regular meetings give members a distinct advantage over law firms outside the network, helping ensure that current insights and experiences are shared among the organization’s network of professionals.
