California governor Gavin Newsom recently signed into law the state’s Age-Appropriate Design Code Act (the Act). In an effort to strengthen the effects of the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA), the Act imposes several new requirements on businesses offering online products, services, or features (collectively referred to as products) that are “likely to be accessed by children.” The Act will go into effect on July 1, 2024.
