Introducing Our Future Leaders Exchange Program

This new program provides secondment opportunities for younger lawyers with another Ally member firm where they gain international experience and perspective while expanding their professional network.

The Future Leaders Exchange Program has many benefits, including:

      • Provides valuable professional development for younger lawyers.

      • Facilitates cross-border awareness and understanding.

      • Improves business development opportunities for Ally firms.

      • Promotes information and knowledge sharing between members.

      • Enhances associate attraction and retention.

      • Expands participants’ international networks.

      • Drives knowledge and awareness about Ally Law through both firms.

“Secondments provide a rewarding opportunity for the host firm in absorbing a lawyer qualified in a different jurisdiction, assessing their ability to participate with client matters and determining other useful roles they can play during their secondment,” said partner Russell Shear of Edwin Coe in London, who was a host firm.

The program lasts for a period of one to three months and works well for members with mutual clients who are in the same region or who share common interests or goals. Our program helps members retain their most promising younger lawyers, as they offer a professional secondment option, typically found only in the largest firms.

Ally President, Ramesh Vaidyanathan comments,” Our Future Leaders Exchange Program not only helps young lawyers with their career development, it helps create enduring relationships between Ally member firms, which are the foundation of our network.”
